So i was thinking of stage 1 injectors, 6637 intake, have a 3" downpipe and 4" exhuast but may upgrade to a 5", and then either upgrading the stock turbo or do you guys think i would need a different one alltogether? also some sort of an upgraded hpop. finally throw in a hydra 17 pos chip. is there anything else i would need to not brake things? and where would this put my truck in as far as power and drivability and towing?
It just not quite up to the challenge of Stage 1 injectors. One issue is high EGTs with D66 + stage 1 injectors.
I've never tried it though. I'm just summarizing what I've read here and a few other places.
You could buy "complete" bolt on kits, but they are mucho $$$.
S366 isn't the only option, but by far the most popular these days.
When I first joined this site everyone was doing what was called the modded h2e turbo. Not sure why no one uses that anymore.
Some other guys were using HX60 turbos too I think.
The one big problem with the h2e is the hypermax kit. If down the road you decide to change the turbo you have to change everything as where with a t4 kit your turbo options are endless.
What do you do with your truck ? What's your HP goal ?
That will give us a idea of which direction to point you
My truck is my daily driver, use her all the time. Don't always tow with it but when I do want to be able to throw the skid steer behind her and take off. Not racing with it but I do like to make alittle noise sometimes and have alittle fun. I want to get it so that it's Fun truck to drive and give you that take you by the seat of your pants feeling haha. I was thinking somewhere around the 350-400hp range would be sweet?
