Help w/crank pulley removal
I'm usually pretty good at shade tree stuff, but the crank pulley on my 2002, 5.4's got me stumped. Can't get an impact wrench on it (no room) and of course, the engine turns when I use a standard ratchet. Anyone got a tip to remove that thing? Got a set of underdrive pulleys that I'm dying to put on, but haven't yet...yes, I'm too cheap for the dealer/garage option.

I do not know if (at all) this link will help you, but a quick google turned up this:
http://www.4x4wire.com/lists/btt/200112/msg00017.html
It _might_ give you some ideas on how to break it loose....
Good luck.

What we used to do is get at the starter ring and try and hold it or in some way grab the teeth. Its torqued pretty tight..
The book says you need a remover and a installation tool and you must use silicone in there somewhere to hold something.
I think it must be a press fit..
