Mis-fire Code with Low Idle

Right after I had my transmission replaced at the dealer on my 98' Expo 4.6L, I started having Idling problems. I would only have the low Idling problems when I was turning into a parking space or something similar to that. I took the truck back to them so they could check it out. The diagnostic test showed a misfire code. They didn't know what the exact problem was so they suggested I change my plugs and wires (I just hit 101,000), change my fuel filter, get my fuel injectors serviced, and maybe change the Idle air control valve. I did the plugs, wires, and fuel filter my self (Which was not fun) and now my check engine light is on. I rechecked the engine compartment to see if i unplugged any hoses and I didn't see any. I called the dealer and they told me that it was common for the check engine light to come on after the plugs and wires were done due to a misfire code. He said it would go away in a few days. Well, it's been a few days and the light is still on. Any suggestions?

Mis-fire Code with Low Idle

The IAC (idle air control) valve is a common problem on these vehicles, so his suggestion is correct. The part is relatively cheap, and you can do it yourself. Also, check your PCV valve & hoses.....
