I have a 1992 F150 with a 5.0. I'm losing fuel pressure & therefore he truck hesitates heavily starting. I've checked all vacuum lines, fuel pressure once cranked is normal, & fuel pressure regulator doesn't spit gas when vacuum is unplugged. I've changed the fuel filter & went ahead & replaced plugs, wires, cap & button for good measure. Any ideas? I'm at a loss.
You will need to verify if the psi stays the same after the pump has run for some time.
I've read on here that the fuel pump would do fine when cold, but after running for several minutes or when WOT was needed, it would fall flat on its face.

WOT - Wide Open Throttle
Tried leaving pressure gauge on the rail with the truck running for about 25 or 30 min. My engine temp had risen to normal running level but pressure never changed. Still scratching my watch & winding my head.
What was the pressure? Did you try driving the truck cold vs warm to verify the pressure under both conditions?
The pressure with the key in the on position ( truck not cranked) sits at about 34 PSI. While cranking it goes to around 42 PSI. Once cranked it drops back to 34 to 35 PSI. I did drive it again. The pressure seems to remain the same but there's a hesitation once it gets warm when you hit the throttle. Yet the gauge shows no change. The idle gets a little rough once it warms up. Once the truck has been cranked it restarts with no trouble for about 10 to 15 minutes after shutdown. Then it all starts over again. I noticed that the pressure starts dropping immediately after the key is turned off but jumps back up as soon as the key is turned back to the on position.
