94 hood latch (manual safety catch) oops?!
94' XLT Hood release...
The pull release (driver's kick panel) functions, the hood pops up to the manual 'safety' catch as normal.
The manual catch lever (grill) seems to move as normal or at least near normal.
However, the latch remains engaged.... so opening the hood is *not* happening. Not exactly the ideal situation, eh?
Looking for a nice elegant path of correction. Sawzall *would* probably work but there are some drawbacks with such draconian measures...
Wanting to open up....

94 hood latch (manual safety catch) oops?!
latch problem spotted at last
Reminder: When in Oregon, open the hood for the eager (yet very green) kid to check the oil. Eagerness seems to have bent the latch handle back till it wouldn't clear the corner of the tranny cooler, disallowing full throw for the latch, hence no opening...
A bit of a duh!
Channel locks, 30 seconds or so.. problem solved.

--- I could wish for more of such brevity!
