There are a few moments in a Super Duty owners life that make you smile and proud. Today was that day for me.
Now, I know most of you 6.7 guys, like myself, dream to come upon a Fully Loaded Semi truck that is stuck firmly in the mud so you can offer your beastly powered towing services to free them from their ugly bonds.
well.......
I was driving back to my office from lunch about 30 minutes ago, when low and behind, theirs a Fully Loaded Semi truck blocking the feeder road that leads to my office. Of course, he is holding up tons of traffic and they are diverting vehicles around him.
The driver obviously didn't follow the past 3 days of 6-9" of rain that fell on Corpus Christi making any pot of mud into a mud boggers dream.
In an attempt to back into a furniture stores parking lot, he used the freeway shoulder median to pull into so he could back of straight.
Yeah..... stuck!
He wasn't going anywhere. His rear tires were spinning both ways with no luck.
Of course, this is where I stepped in.
Offering my complimentary towing services, I asked if they wanted me to try and pull him out. They agreed....
Now, here is where I got a little pissed. While they were hooking my 30k tow strap to the tow hook on their truck, my co-worker pulls up and I tell him to film the entire event......
so what does he do? Acts like a 3yr old holding a camera for the first time and hardly films anything. Anyways, I was able to stitch what I had together and hopefully it shows you my glory experience pulling out my first Semi Truck.
Once we got my D-Rings on his truck and hooked to mine, I was in 4Low 1st Gear....honestly, It was so easy to pull him out I thought it was the tow strap stretching. Nope, it was the semi being ripped from it's muddy bonds by...you got it... 6.7L of Ford Build Truck!
Guys, it was a great feeling I hope all of you get this type of opportunity at last once in your life...... Its great when you see Rams and GMs driving by wide eyed in disbelief.

Great job! You're buddy needs a smack in the head for the disservice he did with the quality of his videoing the event though...
Yeah, tell me about it. I was so disappointed when he told me he didn't get much. He said he though it was going to take longer and be more of a problem for me getting the semi pulled lose. I don't know why he felt he needed to move his car 1/2 mile down the street. Yeah, wasn't thrilled.
Very cool, that's quite an accomplishment! I was able to pull a tanker free about six years ago with my '08, but that was on ice and I never got any photos. So it never happened.
Love the video, but it would have been better if your coworker got more footage.
I've done it too. If I ever do it again I'm not going to bother with 4x4 or low range though. As you learned, it's pretty easy. It would be harder if it was uphill, tractor tires not rolling, and you in the mud too!
