Engine hardly turns over, acts like the battery is dead. I hooked a charger to the battery and the charger say’s the battery is fully charged. All the cables are clean and have no corrosion. Could my problem be in the starter it’s self?
Check your starting solenoid. If the contacts are pitted and worn you will get a high resistance connection that will rob much needed voltage (thus current) from the starter motor. Quickest way to do this is have someone crank it while you short across the solenoid with a pair of insulated pliers or two screwdrivers held together like an X. If it starts right up you should replace the solenoid.
i had the same problem for about 2 weeks, even bought a brand new battery, yesterday the starter died, i replaced the starter and wow cranks like crazy now and no more problems.
