Rewiring project anyone?
The wiring in my truck looks like crap. Looks like someone did some rewiring themselves and didn't know where the wires went. Wires are spliced here and there, no order at all. So I'd like to try and clean things up, organize things a bit.
I assume just any wire that can carry 12 volts will do for most of it, what need rewiring at least.
It'll be a rewire-as-I-go deal, so I can keep up with everything and so nothing's left undone before something else is started.
This should be pretty simple. I mean, remember where the wires are before I take them out, and check them against the wiring diagrams in my manual. Use color coated wires and label as needed to keep some order for future needs.
I'll probably end up ripping out some carpet and take apart the dash. Is there any problem with leaving the bare metal in the cab, since I'm probably going to do some painting before I recarpet it or whatnot?

Get a wiring harness out of another junk truck or two and take them apart and make one harness out of it. Install the replacement in your truck.
