Im just looking for some help and opinions on where to mount a fire extinguisher or 2 in my truck. Ive searched for it and didnt get much help from the posted threads cause they seemed to be more centered on what safety equipment do you carry and not one specific items location. Any help is appreciated and if you have pictures could you post them. Thanks
I've mounted my last 3 on the back left of the bed (I have a topper). The main thing is put it where you can grab it quickly whatever you may have loaded. I have had more than one disaster averted because I keep them mounted in vehicles, home, and work.
In previous trucks I mounted one where my Mag Light now resides:
ive thought about where you have the flashlight mounted but wondered if it would fit between the door and the seat. also thought about putting on cross the floor infront of the middle seat in front since i the 40/20/40 front seats

If it is small enough, by the door works good. My current one doesn't fit there, hence the bed mount. In front of the middle seat works, but will always be in the way for 99.9% of the time which is too much for me "just in case" there might be a need for it.
i just have mine stuck behind the rear seat next to the built in utility box... extinguisher i have in there were ones they were throwing out at work because they lost the inspection tags.. but are still good... nice Dry Chemical ones...
i thought about there but thats where i keep my extra fluids and a small craftsman tool set and a few other things for oh crap moments.
Lol... Got those there too... Small stanly tool set I got after the last CAC boot blew off and all I had was a pair of pliers and flat head screw driver to fix on the side of the road...
The fire extinguisher actually keeps my fuel additive bottles standing up.. And between those and the tool box..is the tow rope.. Short tow chain.. Some jumper cables.. Few flares.. Forget what else is there...
I don`t carry one but probably should. I`m 54 and knock on would, have never needed one.
Same here; well a little younger but I digress
I still am looking for a spot in my cab as well.
Can't put it in the bed, it will A) get stolen B) the truck is actually used as a work truck.
Just some advice make sure it's in a vehicle rated mount. I have seen these things become missiles in vehicles durning an accident a ton of times, not to mention the mess you have if it accidentally discharges. Dry Chem and metal don't go well together.

nore does the fire... I would have prefered a Halon one as its better for chemical fires... but if i really need something in a hurry itll still get it out. Plus it was free so cant complain too much about it.

Yeah I am just talking about accidental discharge if you hit it or the pin comes out. Anything that it comes in contact with will corrode
