Customizing is an addiction?!

Ever since I got a truck, I have had the urge to keep adding stuff to my truck. Before my Ranger I had a Focus and my bro(a ricer, but still love my bro) was always trying to get me to get it slammed, or intake etc. Never did. Oh how the tables have turned. I have so much planned for my truck as time and money permit.

So for you is the truck just a vehicle or is it a sick/sweet addiction.

It is an addiction. Make it something that is unique to you, one of a kind. If it was a Cobra, I would say no. Don't think we have to worry about trade in value. Enjoy it.

Customizing is an addiction?!

Tell me about. I think it is a sickness!!!! THis summer I'm going to spend a little over $8000 on a engine for my 1990 Bronco. I know I'm never going to get my money back if I sell it, so it just gives me more reason to keep it. Plus i love to pull up next to ricers and blow them out the water!!!

Customizing is an addiction?!

I'm the same way but my addiction has a different flavor. I have put a system in my L and will be tinting the windows but that's it. Now my Jet ski is another story, it's a constant quest to nurse another mph out of it and one more boat length of acceleration.

Customizing is an addiction?!

It can be an addiction very easily. I have many plans for my truck but being on a limited budget most things have to wait till next year when she gets paid off. Then instead of a truck payment I plan on putting that money into a few mods starting with the exhaust etc!!!

Customizing is an addiction?!

I got addicted many cars/trucks ago. The Ranger and a 60 Triumph TR3 are the latest.
I think it is a lot easier now because so many things are available. When I shaved the doors on my first custom (50'Chev coupe) had to use starter solenoids(SP) to activate the latches, had to use lead - no bondo then, had to make mounts for 400" Olds motor. Now you can just order kits. The fun is the same though.

Totally addictive - I have spent over $40,000 so far on my truck, not counting the initial purchase, or the factory custom work.
