I've seen tons of trucks, and my 91' F-Superduty is the only one with a torn body mount bracket, what in the hell caused it? it is the passenger side. Rest look good except one. Should I bend it back in place and weld it and reinforce the frontal area of the frame?
I would die Grind the Rivets and punch them out....Remove the body mount bracket and install a new one or a junk yard one. Bolts, washers, ect.... Replace the bushings. Or you can bend it back and weld it....
I used a piece of All-Thread as the bushing bolt because I ended up stripping the entire bolt when I was using an impact. I fabricated a a large piece of pipe to press the original body mount bolt out. It was rusted in there good. The energy suspension bushing kit works well.
I'd weld it. First you want to stop-drill that crack so it don't spread any further, so drill a hole at the end of it. Then you'll wanna vee it out, use a grinder to grind a vee into it along the entire length and then it's time for the blue light show.
