I just got a 8 inch stack for my truck. I have a 5 inch straight pipe at the moment i have the elbow and everything. I also have the 5 inch hole saw to make the hole but i notice the bed support might get in the way. I might be able to squeeze the hole and pipe in there but not sure. Anyone ever done one of these and have any tips or a write up? Thanks any help would be appreciated.
You do the work to put stacks on if that is what you want....the next owner will remove them and patch the holes. Same is true of my truck....the previous owner had them removed and bed patched.
We all like different things. I have a topper. many wouldn't want one. Some have a flat bed. I see guys spend thousands on bling wheels and tires and think why. To each his own.
My neighbor just stacked his 6.0 and he and his buddies think it's awesome.
He found a local guy that fabs some brackets. Pictures attached so you can see how he did it just to give you some ideas. I would have added a couple more 90's or some flex and moved it to the edge of the bed instead of leaving it in the middle. That is if I was gonna put a stack in but it's not me.
I am running dual stacks 4" turbo back to a 5" y pipe to 8" stacks i have a fake toolbox to cover the "y" pipe I will dig up the pictures of them installed and I also have some videos on YouTube of the truck as well. I myself like the look and sound of em but they aren't everyone's cup of tea but if done correctly they are really nice looking.

I am in the minority here and think stacks are badazz. I won't ever do it because of the sound increase in the cab, but I like 'em.
My son's F250 had dual Aussie tip stacks that he took off because the sound got to be too much in the cab, but they definitely looked good.
If I ever change my mind, I'd like a single stack offset to the passenger side, in matte black finish, slash tip. Something like this:

PS - I'm not a young kid, I'm an fart getting older, so take it with a grain of salt.

Here is my setup the back, sides, and bottom of the toobox are cut off leaving the front intact still to block things from sliding into the y pipe. The lid has the the holes drilled in it for the exhaust tips to go through.
Yeah the salt is pretty bad up here in northern NY I'm actually trying to locate a bed for a decent price my floor sadly is pretty bad and in an attempt to save it I have one inch plywood as my floor to try and save the bed for as long as possible till I get the coin saved for a bed

Just curious, What does a decent bed go for up your way? Talked to a guy in Ga yesterday that has them for around 1800
