I have a 14k dump trailer which does not see highway mileage but sees lots of turning, backing, and varying loads. The current cheap tires, made elsewhere, seem like they are just melting off will all the tread heavily rounded and looking worn. For such little mileage I'm not sure if my expectations are too high or these tires are just junk. Sorry don't have the name, maybe Towmax?
Are there any tires that are just a harder compound that may last longer? Even if they are more expensive that could likely be offset by length of use. I know our local equipment rental place uses Double Coin tires on his trailers which he hauls anything from skidsteers to mini excavators.
What size tires are on the trailer? The link you posted shows 17.5, but when I was searching for a dump, I only saw 15 or 16's. Taking a stab that they are 235/85R16's, take a look at the Sailun S637. I put them on my gooseneck but never used it before I sold it. A friends brother in law is using them on a deckover bumper pull that gets beat to all hell on a local farm. They were having tire issues with the trailer prior to installation, and so far so good with the Sailuns, only been on about 6 months, but that trailer gets used HARD. I was about $185 each mounted locally.
