Well on the way home from work I got the P0069 code AND I noticed that when I get off of the throttle quick the turbi spools down slower? What should I be looking at? Map hose?
You would have to catch a code that every thing includeing the kitchen sink could be a potential problem or result of. Basically the map and baro are not playing nice with each other. 4.4 psi out of sync/range can affect or be affected by vgt;bp;map egr ststem fault biased sensor or circuit itegrity.
Useually a temporary thing, but check if something is plugging the map hose or bib.
I cleared the codes this morning and they didn't come back on the way to work but i have a new symptom. Taking off from a stop light and stopping at the next I noticed my EBP dropped to 7 and I heard a scrapping sound of sorts. EBP stays at 7 or 8 at idle now. I have zero loss of power, I get boost as normal but I get zero turbo fart and it spools down very slow.
Well got the p0299 code on the way home. Kinda doesn't make sense due to my boost was 10 psi above normal. Boost stayed from 10 to 20 where it would normally be 1 to 10. Also when I got home the wife was outside and I mashed the throttle and let off. She had a funny look on her face. I asked if she heard that and she said yes--what was that. My reply was the turbo. There is a grindy like sound through the turbo I take tube from the filter. So I think the turbo has to come off and get torn down. Do ya'll agree?
Also would it hurt to drive until the weekend?
Yep--also it's not really a metal sound. Sounds alot like when my bronco would collapse the mouth of the intake tube to the filter. So I did just get some data.
