Leaking glow plug

Hello, everyone.

Would/Could a leaking glow plug cause a "hot no start"?

What do you mean by leaking? What year is the truck?

Its a 2004 F450.

I use the truck as a weekend 3rd vehicle, and since I bought the truck Ive known its had a leak. Finally, a few weeks ago I took some time to trace it. I knew it was coming from the passenger side and I stuck my head through the passenger wheel well and I saw the glow plug harness where it connects to the plug covered in oil. It was the last 2 plugs only. The first 2 were clean.

I've also experienced a couple times a hot no start, and I'm curious if they could be related.

That is not going to be your hot start issue. There are o-rings on the harness that is causing that leak.

Your hot start issue is probably a high pressure oil leak.
