2003 E-150 van
Hi all I need a help if you know or if you had a same problem like I have now please. My van is E-150 v8 5.4 engine. Misfiring cylinder 8 I have changed coil and spark plug 3 times all new. Same problem same code.
It's now shaking specially on the red light also not that much power going to up hill. I tested cylinder 8 plugs to plugging with extra coil and spark plugs it's not firing but wire has power 14 volts coming some how its not firing. What would be problem? Please help.

Just a few WAG's because I don't have this van in front of me.......
If you're 100% certain the COP chassis wiring harness connector is latching into the COP body then its time to follow that wiring harness to a larger connector leading back to the PCM. Its possible there is a broken conductor along the wiring harness causing your failure to fire.
I would also test continuity of #8 COP circuits back to the PCM connector, making sure there's nothing amiss there.
Because you've changed COP's and plugs they most likely are not now and never were the cause of this misfire.
I'm assuming your DTC is P0308?
