We will see a drop for the electric since we are replacing teh a/c this year.

these new units are very efficient and even had a rebate from the power co.

Yeah the new ones work well and are rather efficient. And that is a good thing for sure.

Our last one was 60% efficient where as the new one is 98%. That sure saves on the heating bills. As I'm sure you found out?

I bet it does Rick. We went to one that is around 90% efficient for the furnace. Had to have a blower installed on the flue side since it is tied into the existing chimney flue. Couldnt see running a new exhaust for it when the old one would do well with a simple fan.
