Fire department? We do not have duty crews but if we have a call more than likely I will be going. A lot of the guys are out of town so we will have a limited response. That is where mutual aid comes in.
ahh thought maybe the FD was like the military where like one day a week you had a 24 hr duty watch thing.. then the rest of the week was like 8 hr shifts or whatever..
Some volunteer departments do run that way so that they have at least enough guys in quarters to respond with at least one truck. None in my area do that.
