Need a good power cam, not for strip racing ,but for some street racing; don't know what these numbers are of lift, duration are and how they interact with performance; I got a 351w in a '84 F150 Flareside bored 60 over, Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley 750 Carb, headers, don't know what kind of heads are on it, or how to find out; it had tremendous amount of power on take off before the teeth on the cam for the distributor got chewed. I'd like to get that power back out of this motor,or even more.
You can ID the heads by the casting number-unfortunately its under the intake flange in the lifter valley when assembled.
Cams are hard to recommend without more info-CR, Trans type, gear ratio, weight of truck, useage, etc.
I have used Crane, Isky, And Crower with good results. Comp Cams is good-just haven't got any first hand exp.
