Question F250 and Transmission Coolant System

Do all late models (2000-2003) F250 automatically have transmission coolant systems? I am going to be towing a fifth wheel trailer and want to make sure I've got the coolant system.

Yes, all models now have both a air to oil and coolant to oil coolers. Look between the radiator and the A/C condenser (peal back the rubber cover on top of the grill and look down) That is the oil to air cooler. Notice is is quite large. Under the truck, look at the bottom of the radiator. There should be 2 lines going into the radiator. That is the oil to coolant system. Buying a transmission gauge is a good idea.

I believe the radiator coolers started at 2000.5. I have a early year 2000 that does not have a radiator cooler. I believe anything later than a build date of March 2000 has the radiator cooler.
