I think something is missing here......

Is there a reason to remove the butterfly valve? Is this some kind of shade tree performance mod, or something?

Before the "event" there was no CEL. I just found this while tearing down the dead motor.

After watching SDS's video maybe they were trying to do a cheap 05+ upgrade with out the cost. Not a 6.0 expert though.

How do you like those crapsman drivers? I have the C2's and the 1/2" and they no longer keep up.

I love 'em. I have the whole 19.2 volt family. Use the hell out of them. My first gen batteries are starting to die, but they're a few years old.

This was a common practice for awhile on 04's that had an issue with the flapper vibrateing closed or suspected thereof. Since in 05 they deleted it all together removeing the flapper seldom caused any issues.
