My AOD or Something else?

I am putting a AOD behind a 302 into my 54 Ford F100 with the stock rear.

I am in the process of finishing it up, but when I take it around the block for test ride it runs good for a while. Soon though it doesnt roll as smoothly as if there is some kind of resistance. For example When I pull it into the driveway after the ride, and put it in neutral it doesnt roll backward. After an hour when I went out put it in Neutral it rolled backward.

Do you think its the tranny, rear end or brakes? Any simple way to eliminate one or the other?

I tend to think it's the brakes but you can check it out by adjusting them back from the drums (assuming you have the stock setup). Just be careful driving it around since you'll need more pedal throw to activate them. This just reminds me of a dragging brake shoe I had that would heat up and get worse after about a half mile or so. Hope you get it figgered out!

I think you are correct. I drove it around, got to that point again, and took off the drive shaft. Same deal, which leads me to beleive its the brakes or rear. As I examine the brakes I see there is very little actuation. Now I need to figure out how to repair
