Hello
Rather new to this but thought I would introduce myself. I just recently got the "bug" on these old trucks and will start working on them as soon as we find our new house......plus shop! I have a 53 and a 56f100, the 53 I want to keep original and the 56 a daily driver. In the April Truck Builder, Bobco had a 56 I just fell in love with and want to model mine somewhat after this one. The 53 still has the flathead and a four speed, but it will be the second one in line for me to work on.
A friend of mine is giving me a lincoln to take the motor or whatever I need out of it.....I believe a 74? He also has a 92 f150 which I can get the motor out of, but that will cost a little on my part to get, but the price is good, I think. As you can see I haven't made up my mind on which way to go with the truck yet.
But I'm sure as I stay on the sidelines and keep soaking up the information that is available that part will come to me. And from reading some of these posts I'm already setting aside money for the aspirin "account". Oh, I do have three other trucks................but we won't talk about those

Welcome to FTE
I see that you posted this at 0'dark:Thirty on a Sunday morning.
I like an individual that can't sleep at night thinking about all the possibilities these old trucks bring.
Don't just sit back and read, ask questions, try different ideas, there is a wealth of knowledge available here.
