......Stupid center console
Hey all,
I have a 94 ford ranger with the notorious center console. Well the latch is broken and the previous owner basically ripped the lid in half. The bottom half is in decent shape so I was thinking about just buying the lid. Anyone have an idea of how to get the id off? I've got the console out of the truck and can't figure out how to get the lid off. So far Google's done me no good.

If I remember right you need to pull the liner from the bottom part of the consol I think there is a plug there to take out. Been to long and I cant remember for sure. I did away with those seats and installed buckets from an explorer and also installed the center consol and armrest.
If I think about I will try to look at the one I still have on a shelf tomorrow and let ya know for sure.

pull the bottom carpet piece there are screws under it. Should release the insert. There may be screws under the lid also so you can get the top off. Thats why I had to take mine apart the 1st time. The lid was breaking so took apart and used epoxy and fiber to fix.

Alright so Ebay is currently not selling any tan 1994 ranger center consoles or lids. I'm wondering if I could make the 98-04 two bolt style fit? It looks to me to be the exact same console only with two bolts. If I just bolt it up with the one will it work?
