Finance Options

Just curious as to how most are financing their trucks? I just purchased a New 15 F350 and financed through Ford Motor Credit. A week later I moved my balance to a credit Union for half the interest rate. I normally pay my balance off within a couple of years.

Credit Unions are at 1.89% which I thought was Great! My last truck was financed at 1.6%, however is was only for a year.

Appreciate your feedback!

Yup. Always take the Ford finance to get the extra $1K, then immediately switch to PenFed. Dealer tells you to wait 90 days before switching so they can get their kickback on the loan. Ask me if I care whether or not they get their kickback.

Dealer never asked me to wait any length of time.

I purchased last May and financed through Ford, 3 years @ 1.99% . I haven't moved it, I figure 2% was the best I could find at the time. My bank wanted 3.9% same term......go figure. (not sure what the going rate is now).

I've purchase several Ford trucks this way. My dealer even told me transfer it in less than a month. You would think Ford would require 6 months or get more aggressive on their rates to keep folks from transferring their balance. There must be a lot of folks that keep there loan with them.

Appreciate the feedback!

I guess a lot of people just stay with Ford so they're not worried about deserters

Ford was 6.9% when I got mine and my credit rating is just about maxed out as high as you can get.

I got $1500 rebate for financing with Ford at 3.9%. My dealer told me I didn't have to wait to refinance, so as soon as I get the info from Ford I'll refinance at CU for 2%. This was just a few days ago.

I do the same. Finance with Ford to get the most cash back. Then go from there. Right now I left it with Ford for a very low rate of 0%.
