If anyone has a shift tube for a three on the tree or know where to get one, please let me know. It is the only thing holding me back from my maiden voyage!
Denis Carpenter sells shift tubes for automatics only, just as an FYI.
I just took mine apart and am putting it back together. mine is from a 63 and is different. On mine, the part 7336 is u shaped with an open end.
I can't be much help on taking yours apart, mine came apart easily, after I pulled the recirculating ball steering box and steering rod out! I rebuilt the steering box and am working towards getting it all back together.
does anyone have a parts diagram of the center shift column, that shows all the parts and seals.
I want to get it back together right the first time. None of the diagrams I have from the 63 truck parts catalog, repair manual, and ford truck parts manuals show this particular set-up. Or I can't find it.
