I registed to sell at a swap meet in a couple weeks in Rhinebeck NY, stuff has been piling up for years so I am going to bring a trailer load of parts. I have 3 F1 wheels, one 5" (have to double check diameter) wide, two that are 16" by either 4 or 4 1/2" wide, they have tires so a little tough to measure. I am going to sell these to get back some cash on my build, any idea what they sell for? They are in good shape with some surface rust.
I had a few sets of the 16" 5 on 5.5 wheels (original style 40's 50's with innie hubcap nubs)
That i sold at a swap meet. They were going for about $50 a wheel. However i have seen them go for alot more.
Guess location can play a part and or availability?
I suggest removing the tires prior to the sale. This way you'll be able to measure the width properly and also see the condition inside and around the valve stem hole. The 5" and 4" are more desirable for hot rodders. Prices around here for 4" and 5" is $60-100 depending on condition. 4.5" are usually in the $40-60 range.
Thanks guys, if I can get $50 each for them that will be good enough for me. They are already packed in my trailer with the tires on them, so they will have to stay on.
I ended up selling my set for 100 bucks more when a guy bought my flathead. I just needed them gone but I know I couldve gotten more money for them if I really tried.
