Our 2003 EB Expedition was struck in the rear while parked, and it has to go to the body shop (with only 3000 miles!). The reverse sensor quit working, but it reset after we turned it off and then back on. But now the sensor is about 1/3 the strength. We have to be real close to a wall for it to start beeping, and it doesn't "see" partial obstacles like it used to.
I will ask to have this repaired, but I'd like to know if Ford has performance specs for the reverse sensors, so that I can give them to the shop. Of course we want our Expy back in the same shape, and without the specs, I suppose they could say that it works and that is good enough.
If you can help me locate the specs or point me in the right direction, we'd appreciate it.
