It's an 04 nbx manual temp controls
The front blend door actuator was clicking so I replaced it still no cold air would come out of the vents only hot air, so my next thought was that the actual blend door was broken so I cut a lil whole into the housing were the door sit and the door works like it's supposed to, opens and closes with no problem (I did this with my fingers through the whole while the actuator was out). So I went back to the parts store thinking I had just gotten a faulty actuator... I Get back to the truck plug the new actuator and again it will not work... I even plugged all the controls back in with the actuator out to see if the shaft rotated and no cigar... What could it be? Could the actual temp **** gone bad?? Please help as I need the ac up and running since I have a new born....
Yeah the system works as it should all the way up to the blend door
In that case it has to be a broken blend door. I understand you might have seen movement, but that doesn't means the door is moving all the way over and sealing.
Well that's what I thought but it still doesn't explain why the acutator shaft won't move? I think I'm gonna try and get an actuator from the dealership since I have read that some of the aftermarket ones have problems... I just don't want to waist $105 bucks if that doesn't fix it
With the actuator disconnected and you manually moving the blend door over...does it blow cold air then?
Yes it does... I cut a whole where the blend door sits and to the right of the blend door, where the lil radiator thing is (blower motor side) the air is ice cold with the ac on
I did not check if it came out cold thru the vents but I assume it will since the air is conditioned before the blend door
Well, the old actuator, what was wrong with it? What I did when my rear HVAC blend door actuator was ready for replacement was to buy a cheaper aftermarket one, open it up and swap the plastic gears into the OEM original one, so I could keep it in there. Spent 20 bucks instead of the 60-70 the OEM ones cost. Could that be done on the one you just swapped?

Yeah I could do that since it was just clicking like a tooth was broken
