EFI 300

Curious what I can get away with for mods on a 300 inline 6 without out doing the computer and or if it can be tuned as well. I'm thinking a 66-236-4 comp cam (rtf cam) electric fan, k&n air box and porting the heads for a better flow considering they don't breathe well on their own. Ideas? The reason why I want to do this is cause of the durability of the engine, the mileage it gets and the insane torque.

Wasting money on K&N CAI. The 300 and the 460 came with the BEST CAI! I ditched the intake on my 302 and got a 460 snorkel for it.

And if you want more input for building your 300, you may want to try the straight six forum here on FTE.

Ahh I see. I was told a cotton cone is way better than a paper panel filter. And fair point, sorry new guy here.

K&N air filter in the stock box would be an improvement unless you are going to put on an external snorkel you wont do much better with anything else.

Ohh no I'm not using the crappy restrictive stock box, I saw a k&n kit that replaces the stock box with a wide open cone and shroud that bolts right on and goes to both intake hoses.
