94 ranger 2.3 timing
2 questions... Thanks in advance.
First is it possible to change the timing belt without removing the damper/outer pulley on the crank?
Second - how do I set the oil pump/ignition cog? I can't find a marking to save my life. It is a DIS setup.
DIS
Also for the heck of it... Here is where I am.
Cam cog
Crank cog (enhanced to show mark) I positioned it to TC with the timing cover on.
Oil pump/ignition cog (lost on this one)

Sorry, I cannot see photobucket pics for some reason. Browser?
I have been able to squeeze a timing belt past the damper on a Turbo-T-bird in a parking lot late one night, and get it timed. Don't know how long it lasted as it got kind of warped squeezing it past the lower edge of the timing cover. Fed in from the bottom, and then routed around the cogs. My littlest brother was able to drive home.
