Wax on

Just finished putting a coat of Meguiar's paint protect on my 2014 F150 FX4 V8. Man does it make the paint 'pop'! Mequiar's states it gives one year protection. Very, very easy to apply and buff up.

Sweeet...looks great! I'm using an acrylic polymer called Profection recommended by Beechkid. Not sure if it has as much shine as what you used.

Meguiar's just came out with this product. My brother 'SabreDave' put me on to it. Can't believe how easy it was to apply and buff up.

The real selling feature is it's sheeting action.

Nice!! Your truck looks fantastic.

I was debating whether or not I should apply a sealer to my 2014. Does Ford apply any kind of paint sealer at the factory?

Agreed.

Collinite 845 is pretty much the best out there.

WOW! That came out beautiful!!

A fella on my route has a gorgeous black 2000 F-250 and uses the Turtle wax ice black pack on his. Amazing kit and reasonably priced.

While I don't know for sure, I would assume that Ford puts a final 'clear coat' over the paint job.

Meguair's indicates this is a 'once a year' application.

I have tried the Meguairs, and you'll need to do it more than once a year. Especially in our winters here in IL with the amount of road salt.

Believe it or not I use and like Turtle Wax ICE wax. This sounds like a commercial but this stuff isn't your dads Turtle Wax. You can use it on plastic, glass and all surfaces with no white residue. It also lasts about 7-8 months

I have tried all the expensive show waxes and about every other sealant out there and for the price this stuff is what I plan to stick with unless there is a major chemistry breakthrough.

Another for Collinite 845 but I'm always trying different stuff. I used Wolfgang 3.0 before this, and liked it a lot also

That's what I've been using for about 4 years now. Amazing stuff.
