You can use an industrial spray adhesive, like 3M. Sound deadening is a great idea by the way. Stereo sounds better, AND less noise/vibration in the vehicle!
Can I get that adhesive from an autoparts store? Can I spray it over my sounddeader with no problems?
I am going to order ~100sq-ft of B-Quiet deadener. I have used it in the past on other vehicles and it works nicely. I plan to do the floor pan, doors, rear area of the cab. Also get some foam baffles on my speakers.
My stereo isn't huge but is nice and plays clear: Pioneer Premier deck (720 I think, it is a '99 model), Polk 6.5" DX speakers, Precision Power A200 (50x2) amp.
Hey Hit Man X! Can't get rid of me can you....!!! You really DON'T want to glue the carpet down. Really. The next stereo upgrade or electrical problem you run into, will be the one, under that carpet! Unless, you don't have anything under there and are planning to do the up and over the top of the headliner thing. Your kick panels and door sill plates, should be enough to hold your carpet still for a long time to come. It's up to you dude! Talk with you guys later....
