thanks for that info. The ford 8.8 I am looking at is from a 90 mustang so I believe that one will swap right in no problem.

I will work. While the rear is out of the car you should weld the tubes and and the seams of the mounts on the car. Also look into aftermarket control arms. I wouldn't use the grannetelli arms the sleeves are too Short and cause the bushings to tear apart.

That won't lower the car more then 2" will it?
the car sits 2" higher then dad's town car and it barely clears these backroads.

No they just change pinion angle and stiffness of the arm there by creating a better feel and allowing for increased traction

We use UPR now. Good quality stuff made in USA and not a bad price tag

Well looking at the 2 tranny x-members I will need to hack the rubber bushing portion of the fox x-member and everything between the upper frame mounts on the f150. Then weld the 2 up. Then for a stock appearance Paint it black bolt it up and done.

I didn't mess with the throttle bracket too much just kinda looked it over and made a few scribe marks.

I already checked those clearances and no problems their just having issues clearing the exhaust manifold and steering gear box shaft. Once I get it set a bit better I am going to build some headers for it myself.

The tranny will clear dine the location of the tranny won't change but the room needed to run the exhaust system will. There is a relief on either side of the tranny for exhaust pipes. You won't want a single hump x-member because the exhaust will hang about 3 inches off the ground.

Dad is being the stubborn one about that but I will relate the info to him. I definatly don't want it to be that low for the exhaust pipe.

Oh I thought you were talking about something else. Is it weird if our stang already has double humps?
Sorry just got off work and my head is somewhere else.

If it does your good if nor the exhaust will either have to be moved over or under both creating issues
