Question Grille Emblem
Has anyone tried a grille emblem on a 78-79?

78 and 79 never came with a factory grille emblem

They didn't start that until '82. I was talking about putting one in instead of having the letters on the hood. (just want to see how it would look because I have considered doing it)

I take Ford emblems and make Key Fobs out of them ,instead.

I test fit one to the front of my '79 grill, it didn't look right - I took it off. My opinion is it looks better without the emblem...but to each his own...

It is the thing that has the rinbg through it to hold the keys.
It makes for Easy Identification.

I'll see if I can find my Home made *One of a kind* Mustang key Fob and show you.

EDIT:
here it is.
The back is a small slab 1/4" thick of Elk Antler.

The Chrome Mustang logo is from the door panel of a Mustang II

hey 1979 .. i think it would fit good if you used them ...you may have to use some addesive to hold it all on there ..but the way i mounted mine ..i used an emblem out of a ranger grille and drilled a coulpe holes then used addevise to hold in it from the back side and its been that way for a year now..good luck
