I have a 95 5.0 302 with 128k miles.
Just recently my truck has been surging during acceleration or when the rpm's get low before it downshifts. When it does this I here a knocking or pinging sound. This most usually occurs when I have the A/C on. To add to my mystery, when I have the A/C, heater or vent on, and I get into higher rpm's (uphill) the fan switches to the defrost area on the dash.
Could it be a vacuum problem, or fuel injection???????
Please help!!!
