use the blow gun on top of the discharge tube to see if there are any leaks at the quick disconnect. remove the discharge tube from the top of the pump and branch tubes. there is a quick disconnect on the branch tube fo remove the discharge tube. push the black ring forward with two screw drivers or the correct otc tool. then you can apply compressed air to the branch tube with a rubber tipped blow gun. then listen for air leaks under the valve covers.
the way he upgrades the pump. it is just about bullet proof as they come. if you go with oem, all of the common failure points are still there. plus his price cant be beat of $575 for rebuilt pump and rebuilt ipr valve.
if you dont mind sending some time on you tube, he has some col vids on the hpop and ipr. you might get a better idea whom you are dealing with. I just replaced my pump last year. I am planning on sending it to him.
