Replacing the passenger side small triangular window??
1990 Ford e350
I found a replacement side window at a junk yard already taken apart luckily. The problem is that I have no clue how to remove my current broken one. How do I Access the bottom of it? How do I remove it?
Pry? So only the glass is pulled out? Seems stuck solid though, it feels like I might break it. Is there some spray that I can use to remove the adhesive
what did you get from the junk yard, the complete window and frame?
to replace that you have to completely disassemble the door and window tracks.
when my window was broken i pried the broken glass out and had a new glass slid in using the old gasket and some glue. that was 24 years ago and it is still holding solid.
If it's anything like the trucks, the wing window support is part of the track for the main window. Gotta pull off your door panel, unhook your window regulator, unbolt the track closer to the firewall, and remove the main window. After that, the wing window should pull out. There's only two bolts on the track and two screws in the upper part of the door from what I recall.
I see. Sounds like a lot of work. Might try breaking off the remaining broken glass and sliding this window in. The problem is I bought the whole frame, the silver parts were pried off as you can see, but the black part (the part actually holding the window) is in tact.
