4.56 gears ?

does anyone run 4.56 gears in there trucks. If you do I would like to know whats your final ratio and what size tires are you running and if you done a highway test what is your actual RPMs

Going from memory 4.56's are about 300rpm more than 4.10's, which are about 300rpm more than 3.55's at 60. So about 600 to maybe 700 rpms more at 60 than 3.55's

Excellent calculator here. You need to know actual diameters, and I think you should measure the loaded radius to really get the right diameter.

My truck came stock with 3:54 gears and 29" tires.
I now run 37" tires with 4:56 gearing and the rpm at highways speeds is about the same.

4.56 gears, locked, on 36" tires and it feels about the same as it was when I bought it (mostly stock, but on 32" tires)... granted, it hasn't been stock in over 10 years... but from what I remember, it's pretty close... Haven't had it on the highway recently enough to remember actual highway RPMs..

I am happy I went with these over 4.10 or 4.88...

I want to build a truck that i will use mainly in the city at stoplights. and offroad to get to my fishing holes.
