Guys,
I've seen the multiple posts about this but I'm confused. I have an 04 Explorer with the "auto 4wd" that recently had the ABS light come on, AND the blinking 4x4 high light. My confusion is due to the fact that I've received 4 different blink codes! My wife and I documented it in a 8 mile run to the store and back. First we got 6 blinks, stopped a few hundred yards later and got 3 blinks on take off. Then after getting up to speed, we got 7 blinks, then 8 blinks. Coming back we got another 7, then several 6's, and a lot of 8s.

On another note, if we turn the wheel hard to the right, either in forward or reverse (worse in reverse), it feels like the front end jumps, and we hear a grinding noise. This goes away when we straighten up and go forward.

What gives? Any thoughts on what this may be? I'll probably take it to the dealer, but I don't want them to shaft me because I don't know any better.
