HAND HELD SCANNER 1996
The truck does not have the EEC-IV connector.
Can anyone recommend a scanner??
I have been looking at the Actron, and several others.
Also, can anyone explain to me the difference between OBDII and
EEC-V ??
Thanks for the Help..

EEC V is basically the computer , engine controls . Its an upgrade from EEC IV . It was introduced in 96 when all vehicles had to be OBD II compliant . This site explains a lot of how it works . I love OBD II , it makes finding problems a lot easier
