The military generally used the Goodyear variety having a split locking ring on the face side of the wheel. Don't believe I've come across any of the true Firestone widow makers on military vehicles. That time the government actually got something right! Stu

Since you posted this data, have you had the chance to drive your truck (F3) with the new 17 x 7 wheels?
Have you experienced any wheel or tire rubbing using that 4.25-in backspacing?
Did you re-mount the 750-17 tires? How did they fit on the 7-inch wide rims? I'm guessing you used tubes.
