Typical with plastic patio chair VS
Front bumper @ 70 mph.
Bumper won without ANY damage.
Phew! Got lucky that all it was was a chair. It shattered into scraps. About a mile down the road a P/U was pulled over tieing down his belongings . Looked like he was moving. I suspect he was missing a chair.
If I had hit that with my car , I would have needed a new nose for it. But then I probably would have been able to dodge it.
I've used my front bumper to push vehicles into the shop before, top to bottom covers a pretty big height difference. I try to line up with the end of the frame rails so I don't hurt it much.
plastic cover is still intact but held on by a few self drilling/tapping screws.
took a deer off the L corner last summer but its hooves did more damage to the front door and side of van than anything else. sure made a cool BONG when it hit.
