I have a 1993 F150 4x4 SB Pickup I just got a month ago. I am looking at replacing the tires, but I have some questions.
Currently it has 32x11.50x15 tires on it.(Les Schwab Wild Country), and a couple of them are pretty unevenly worn. the other two are suitable for spare usage. The main thing is that the local Costco where I want to buy the tires will only put a max size of 31x10.50x15 on the truck, explaining its a policy/lawsuit issue. To be truthful, I am ok with going down a size, because the size that is on there now is a little too big: they rub on the radius arm, and the under bumper plastic trim piece. My concern is how much this will throw off my Speedometer reading (assuming it was adjusted in the forst place when the guy went to bigger tires.) How off will things get from just going down one size, and what is the best way to recalibrate the PSOM if I have to adjust it? I suppose I also need to know how to measure my speed as well....any help appreciated.
