Cam Phasers
Man was i pissed yesterday, on my way home and was parallel parking, when my 2008 F-150 started shaking and knocking. I quickly turned it off and sat there in total shock. 3 yrs ago i had the engine a 5.4 Triton rebuilt, cost me close to 7 large ones, i was told to run 5w-50 synthetic oil in it. I restarted the truck and it was fine, pressed on the accelerator to rev it up and it sounded good. Why out of the blues today did that knocking show up again.
Spoke to Ford the first time this problem came up and they said they know nothing about it. Yet, i've read several articles and posts over the years that claim Ford knows about this problem. How do i get to them and make them admit it, i can't afford another big repair job like that. Any help or tips would really be appreciated.
