Cylinder head problem

I am in the process of working with an engine builder for my new truck engine and we have run into a problem. The F3TE heads I have were cut .030 sometime in the past. As a result, using the early (88-92) pistons we are coming up with 10:1 for compression as the combustion chambers check out to be 81 ccs.

Is there a thicker than stock head gasket available? Either that, is there anyone who could use a set of F3TE heads cut .030 and has a good set to trade?

11 months ago I would have traded you. I think you can get thicker gaskets but I have never looked into it. Did you run the calc with the newer pistons? It will change your quench a little but should drop your CR a little also. Pump gas motor I assume?

A good builder can cut the dishes himself to drop the CR that way.

I found some .060 compressed thickness gaskets at Summit. Unfortunately I don't think we have a set, or even 1 of the later pistons to check it that way. They have a higher compression height, but a deeper dish. I will see if maybe the block the heads came off of had the later pistons in it.

If the motor was stock it had the 93+ pistons.

Should, but it was somewhat used, crank was .060 under when he pulled it to check.
