April chat/general BS thread

Well, I waited on someone else to start this off, but since I'm sitting here nursing a bad case of the flu, I'll get it going.
I knew we had way too much fun in music city, something had to happen to mess up a great time. Came down with the flu Mon and still feel like I'd have to feel better to die.
Update on the flood, we now have somewhat dry ground again, just putting up with the fishy funk till it all dries out. The State Park missed out on spring break, water had it closed the entire time.

Sucks that you're sick, but glad you're drying out.

I've got a dead possum somewhere in my holly bushes that I can't find, so I'm familiar with the funk.

Ewww... Just let the dog out for 20 minutes, it'll drag it up on the porch.

That's assuming some of his buddies aren't munching on the remains of their lost comrade.

Just in case I don't get to stop by the rest of the weekend (a lot of things going on)...Happy Easter everybody.

She sniffs around it, but won't go into the holly.

Happy Easter everyone! Another lovely raining day on the western frontier. If anyone happens to be up this way next weekend...

Are you saying the smell is strong enough to knock a buzzard off a gut truck?

I just love this time of year, I used to have a blue truck...now it's green. I used to be able to breathe, now I need to pop some pills to keep from killing too many trees that would otherwise converted into tissue. Oh and thunderstorms...turns the mightiest dog into the biggest chicken around.

Well crap, there went my new year's disillusion to remain politically correct. And I really thought there was hope when I made it past the 14th day of February relatively unharmed.

Well, it was a tight squeeze, but I was able to get the truck in the side door of the shop. Just in case we get any hail.

Now that the truck was assured safety...did your roof take a beating last night? For several days the weather guessers preached gloom & doom for last night here on the western frontier. Now it did rain...no thunder or gusty winds...for all of maybe 10 minutes and that was it. Talk about a disappointment....sort of like the kids around here when it snows, yet still have to go to school because it melted as it was hitting the ground.

No hail here that I heard or saw, just a bit of rain and light wind.

Well it was pretty much a let down up here last week as well. But I will give them credit for Monday (4/13). They said it was going to rain most of the day, with periods of heavy rain with rainfall between an inch and two inches. The NWS is saying 1.13" fell up here yesterday...close enough. Jeff, you'd better hold off taking that truck off the ramps.
