V-10 questions

V-10 engine automatic transmission, so at 1500-2000 rpm the truck surges really bad and when doing an up hill climb at low speed.

Replaced:
Egr valve, throttle position sencor, all cops, plugs, cleaned injectors, new fuel pump, fuel filter, replaced crack vacuum hoses, mass air flow sencor, aftermarket intake, cleaned out catalytic converter.

Had it running better for one day then starting acting up again so not sure what is going on.

I understand all of the parts that you replaced. What type of testing did you do to justify replacing those parts and finding the actual problem?

Posting test results will help to diagnose the problem.

Possible it is more of a power delivery issue? Transmission issue?

There are some "guessers" here, but no psychics. Someone must run test and analyze the results in order to discover the problem.

We are not there to test it. All we can do is offer things for the OP to test. Offer something up

The OP replaced a lot of parts. I asked him to say why he replaced those parts in order to get some direction to identifying the problem.

I need to know what he did so that I can advise him what to do next. I cannot see, feel, or hear the truck from here. If he can give me some better information, I can diagnose the problem.

Started when I got it tested and my fuel trim was off and low fuel pressure so I replaced the fuel pump which took 4 times to get the correct through autozone. After that took it back to the shop and all they could do was point at the aftermarket intake and say it was that, which it wasn't it ran great with it on there for along time. No codes have came up on the test so then they said it had a miss and to replace the cops and plugs no improvement.

It would be very helpful if you could describe the surging in more detail, just saying it surges leaves a lot to our imaginations and that's not always helpful.

I am having a similar problem as the OP. V10, with 169k, although getting misfire codes on cylinders 1 & 9 (301/309), no check engine light. Not sure if I would call the problem a surge, more like stumble/hesitation at 1750-2000, then relatively smoothes out. Also lopes at idle. Swapped COPs and installed new boots, still getting 301/309. Have procrastinated plug change due to horror stories and truck has run great until now.

I am not sure who "they" are, but "they" don't sound like "they" know what "they" are doing. "They" can guess you into a lot of time and money.

COPS and plugs can be tested to know 100% for sure whether they are bad or not BEFORE you replace them. Tests on the fuel pump can determine for certain whether or not it is bad BEFORE replacing it. A lot of things can cause your vague description of surging. Find someone who can test properly. Look at the fuel trim, look at MAF, look at the 02 responses (a fairly common cause of problems similar to yours), etc. Find someone who can TEST and not GUESS. "They" are NOT serving you well.
