Today is the day........
Jeep is home. Initial impressions are mixed but overall a decent buy. The fit and finish just can't touch the BMW. But, for 40% less money, I guess that is to be expected. The Hemi is stout and not a disappointment unless driven back to back with the twin turbo BMW V8. The ride quality and tech are surprisingly on par. Seating comfort is as well. One big surprise was the HK audio upgrade. I had a JL Stealthbox ready to upgrade the OE sub but it will be going back to Crutchfield on Monday for a refund. This is by far the best stock audio system I've ever owned. Better than the BMW HK too...
Firm believer in happy wife, happy life... Looks great!
My wife drives a Honda CRV. Almost everyone that I know has their wife in an SUV. Once they drive an SUV, they never want a car again. No wonder that Ford is getting out of the car business.

Very nice!! I've been using a zero turn Toro for almost 10 yrs. Once you get the hang of using one you'll be hooked. By the way I'm in my 70's and have already mowed my lawn close to 10 times this year...great job for a retired guy.

Rubber mats, splash guards, hardwired radar, and TBC installed. That's pretty much it. It's an Overland but I ordered it with the off road adventure package which backed it off to the 18" wheels. Lately I'm liking a bit more rubber and a bit less wheel. I still like 20's on my truck but am looking forward to putting 295's on them.
FTE moderators sent me a note after I commented that I used air tools when I put on my new shocks. They said that this is a premier thread and if I wanted to participate on this thread, I needed to pick up my game.

I have no concept of what a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee sells for. Took a look at my local Jeep dealer's webpage and see that these are very reasonably priced. Cheaper than I would have thought. Well, until I got to the end of the list.

Well stumps are all ground. Working on getting the lump from the ash gone and grade right. Found a few roots near grade I'm working on taking out before I can fill and grade. Hauled 3 heaped wagon loads of chips from it, and after about a 1/2 hour of ax work it looks like a beaver went psycho in the front yard. Hopefully fool with it more tomorow night.
Did a bit of fooling with my CB mount while waiting for the tree guy. Lowered the radio 1.5" which makes reaching the upfitter and TBC much less awkward. Added a mount for the Mic. Still not sure I'm in love with the Mic mount, but it's a start. May fool with it more, or may leave it. It's in a very easy to reach, natural position now. Too cold and windy for paint today.

Thanks Don. My bride is happy so that's all that matters. Well, actually two women are happy. My mom bought our X5 so she's happy with her "new" car too. I'm a little sad about the step backward but I'll suck it up. At least I can still drive the X5 at will. It's only a mile up the road...
