Hey it's a dangerous world out there. We actually have members in the 17 section fearing engine damage due to use of the EZ Valve drain because it stops the last ounce or two from draining. OMFG, I thought I heard it all before that one.... 2 oz dirty oil dilution in 13 quarts. Motors a goner...

Guess we should include disassembly and cleaning of the entire engine internals when doing an oil change then, because that two ounces left in the pan is nothing compared to the 4 ounces still filming everything inside, or stuck in the cooler and gallery passages.

This is true. Jodi and I agree that when encountering incurable stoopid, "Fork it" (or something similar) gets said and we move on. Then we spend an appropriate amount of time making fun of the morons and laughing about it.

I hear you guys. At least I learned not to "improperly engage" them and get the wrath of the mods cast down on me...

Well, out of boredom (a good thing at a refinery), I ventured back over to the 2017 section and started reading again. HOLY CRAP!!!! And, one of the "sky is falling" types is a mod. I can see how you stay in trouble. Stop using logic and reason. Grab a box of tissue and wipe their little noses. I bet a few hid in their safe spaces the day after the election results came in too!

That's the new thread. It was much more interesting in the last thread on the subject.

I started with Epic's video review of the EZ-Drain, and am now partially through the "Oil Brand and oil quick drain...". This is so entertaining, I'm going to have to search for similar threads.
I can't believe that's seriously a discussion. Did someone change his use name? It sure sounds like someone who's brother is a Ford mechanic and knows everything says its bad for your engine and will cause #9 main bearing failure and the timing cover will blow through the radiator and cause a loss of traction leading to a serious head on collision due to being overweight on the crappy ford springs because of fuel dilution from mislabeled oil.

Given the topic of the last few posts, I thought this would be appropriate.

Just got to the end. Wow! After all that and he's going to do it the wrong - or "not best" - way after all. Hope he doesn't wait until 120k to trade that time bomb.
